Crafts

Some of my earliest memories are of my mom ‘crafting’. With every type of new craft, my mom faced it with renewed energy and zest to keep creating. From stuffed animals to beautiful baby blankets that I am never getting rid of, to finding clever ways to repurpose things like a pair of jeans into a jean skirt, she always has a project that she is working on. I hope that one day I’m an accomplished crafter. What is the exact definition of a ‘crafter’, you ask? My mom.

Sewing, although my favorite, is not the only craft out there. As my extremely talented young sister would tell you, she’s amazing with paper. She can create anything out of it, and she does. She mixes art with crafts with paper. Her talent is remarkable, and always has been. Between my mom and my sister, they could create basically anything out there. Because, the definition of a paper crafter is my sister.

I’ve never been much for paper crafts, but one day I will move beyond my inclination to shy away from anything with glue or paper cuts involved. I hope. In the meantime, I’m learning how to sew, using awesome stuffed animal patterns. I cannot tell you how much we enjoy sewing the patterns from funkyfriendsfactory.com, and from cholyknight.com. God has blessed us with ample opportunities to use thread and needle to create our own works of art.

In this section, I will share my crafts and projects, along with other various ideas and tips that I find while researching and learning about making crafts. Maybe it will inspire others to craft, and I would love to hear about other projects that I should work on. I’m always ready and waiting for a new craft! That’s what this section is about!

God bless you,

Fall Decor

Happy November! Just a short post today, sharing this decoration I assembled and put up over my desk. I found this printable online, and I printed up leaf outlines, which I then traced onto some images I printed of book pages, and I colored some, too. I really hope this inspires you for your own […]

I Have A New Product (EXCITING GIVEAWAY)

Hi, there! Stick around for a new Etsy product, an exciting day, and a giveaway! As you all know, I’m trying to earn money for Liberty classes by starting an Etsy shop (AllToTheGloryOfGod). It hasn’t taken off yet, but I have hopes. And, if something’s worth doing, it’s worth believing in, right? So, I’m trying […]

My Green Ember Day

The Green Ember burns; the seed of the New World smolders. Healing is on the horizon, but a fire comes first. Bear the flame. This quote comes from one of my favorite books, which happens to be the center point of focus for this blog post. Yesterday I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do […]

I HAVE AN ETSY SHOP! I’ve decided that Fall 2022, I will begin taking dual enrollment college classes through Liberty University. I’m going to be earning my Undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree in English with a Cognate in Creative Writing. Boy, is that a mouthful! I’ll talk more about why I chose this degree in another post, […]

Another Week and Making Gifts

Well, here we are, starting off another week and wishing for more weekends. No, I’m just kidding. I’m feeling okay about this week. School, keeping up with my blogging friends (make sure to enter the giveaway that Allison is doing on A Farm Girl’s Life, because that ends on the fifteenth!), listening to lots of […]

Winnie the Pooh First Term Bullet Journal

I promised some pictures from my bullet journal for the first term, which starts on Monday. My theme was sort of an autumn Winnie the Pooh thing, so this was my cover page. I think I may like to color in the acorn, but I’m not sure, yet. I liked how it turned out, anyway. […]

DIY Hair Bows

I love these bows. They are so cute, and so easy to make. I love how simple they are, and today I’m going to share my DIY with you, so that you can make your own. I’m planning on making some of these for my extended family, because they’re just so nice, and I’m able […]

My Bullet Journal (+ Peek at August)

Alrighty! As I mentioned in my recent post August and Yearly Goals, I am attempting to improve my bullet journalling. My mom is an avid bullet journaller. She manages to keep her journal functional and simple, and yet she adds cute, sweet little doodles. It’s absolutely amazing. Anyway, though, I hope to one day follow […]

My Calligraphy

Look! That’s my calligraphy! Remember how I told you about my goal to learn calligraphy this summer? Well, I’m well on my way. For Christmas, my grandmother gave me a set of calligraphy pens, and they got me pretty interested in calligraphy. With my Internet Fast this summer, I have plenty of time to work […]

Best Rag Doll Pattern Ever

I love making dolls. Rag dolls are extremely cute, and about a year ago, I decided to start making them. Since then, I have made many, including a Han Solo doll, a Captain America, a Jeannie from I Dream of Jeannie, and two dolls from a great classic movie. Next, I’m thinking about maybe an […]
